Excellent service with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent food. On the pricey side but you get what you pay for. Cocktails are lush.

We visited Brighton for the weekend and stumbled on reviews for the Sunday Roast at Embers, we are so glad we did! It's a lovely small restaurant with such a friendly welcome and service, and the food was incredible. We both commented that it's probably the best roast we've ever tried (both British, so lots of roast dinner experience!). The wood charred veggies were delicious, amazing gravy, crispiest potatoes, and excellent cuts of meat (we had the 3 beasts platter). The photo doesn't really do it justice, but generous portion sizes and very high quality ingredients, would highly recommend and we hope to come back soon!

The BEST roast and dinner! We first came here Saturday evening for a fun date - LOVED the celeriac shawarma and aubergine and especially the skate wing. Decided to come here the next day for a roast and it’s definitely the best roast we ever had. such a kind team and such a great atmosphere! Huge compliments to chef, Tom and the team (especially Lyndon and Ilke)!

The food is full of bold, fire-kissed flavours and every dish feels thoughtfully crafted — but the real standout was their inspired clarified Bloody Mary cocktail. Crystal clear, yet packed with all the rich, savoury depth you’d expect, with a gentle heat and smoky twist. Exquisitely made by Lyndon, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever tasted — refined, surprising, and totally addictive. A must-try! Great vibe, warm service, and one of the most memorable meals (and drinks!) I’ve had in Brighton.

Wow!!! What a wonderful restaurant. Had the most delicious take on a vegan Caesar salad and the most delicious vegetarian Sunday roast. No nut roast here - a large oven roasted onion stuffed with mashed potato and leek with a fantastic array of oven roasted vegetables, Yorkshire pudding etc. Really tremendous cooking. Sat at the bar which I didn’t normally like but as the kitchen is behind the bar you watch everything you are about to eat being cooked in front of you.

Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The most gorgeous intimate restaurant, knowledgeable and friendly staff - special mention to Ilke that served us, and also Charlotte and Sophia. What a team. The food was second to none and myself and my boyfriend will be shouting about it for the next few months. Cannot wait for our next visit and to try the rest of the most delicious menu.

My girlfriend and I went for the roast at Embers today and it was fantastic. It came with a solid portion of meat, great Yorkshire puds, thick tasty gravy and loads of veg. The options are plentiful, brilliant wine/cocktail list and the staff were all super friendly. Special mention to Valerie who was attentive, knowledgeable as well as very charismatic. Also, Ben on the bar was great and the Mezcal negroni he made me was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in ages. We will be back!
